It’s hard being a dad. Sometimes you just need time to yourself. We’re here to help with some great ‘dad’ movies that will help you relax. Of course everybody is free to watch these super cool movies, but don’t mess up dads collection! This list is by no means exhaustive, but these are some of the best dad movies that we watch regularly. If any catch your fancy, simply click on any of the pictures where you can pick from various different formats. Here we go!















Let’s start with a big one. Die Hard is not only a great ’Dad’ movie is an absolute action masterpiece. It made a superstar out of Bruce Willis and has the late Alan Rickman as one of best movie villains ever.










Another 80s movie, another classic Schwarzenegger movie. It goes without saying really.










It doesn’t all have to be action to be a great dad movie. This Steve Martin classic and it’s sequel are a great idea for a Sunday afternoons viewing.










Ahh, 80s macho movie at its finest. This movie could’ve be more 80s. The hair, the music the Cruise. Perfect dad viewing.










Now you might feel like the Godfather in your home, now you can confirm that by watching part 1 and 2 all day. Watching part 3 is of course optional.











Sydney Poitier stars as black cop sent to help to help with a m in the Deep South in the 60s. You can imagine how that works out. Sounds a bit heavy but the sheer presence of Poitier will keep you engaged all the way through to it’s thrilling conclusion.










This movie gets better every single time I watch it. Scary, funny and brilliant. Great for scaring the life out of grandkids as well.










What is there to say about Fight club? Well.... you know the rules......










Yep you read that right, we’ve picked the sequel. We love the original but this to be frank is a much better film. Brilliant director, brilliant acting and a stunning and thoughtful story. It’s the best Bladerunner movie.










Its easy to forget just how good this movie is. It has a great performance from Hanks, wrapped up in a super sweet story combined with state of the art FX.










Still the best movie Tarantino has ever made. Full of classic quotable scenes and great comeback performance. If you haven’t seen this, you haven’t seen Tarantino.










Arguably the best war movie ever made, this Spielberg movie will haunt you with its images of war. Not for the faint hearted but it’s not only a classic dad movie it’s a movie that everyone should see.









The one that started it all. Start at the beginning of the MCU with the still brilliant Iron Man. Feel free to show it to the wife in an attempt to get them to watch the entire MCU.










Maybe the best Comic book movie ever made, this is a great end to the Wolverine story line. Violent and grim Jackman goes out on a high.










What a phenomenon this was! The first black superhero to lead a film in the MCU did not disappoint. Black Panther introduced us to one of the coolest characters in all of comics.










Time for a comedy. You could see this movie as a warning off having kids, we choose to see it as a story of how an unplanned pregnancy can lead to hilarious results. Well a least in movie land.









Don’t mess with this mans dog. Nuff said.
